The Contributions of EAIE Continues: An Agreement Signed with Latvia

A new agreement was signed as a result of the negotiations held at the EAIE International Education Exhibition, Europe's largest higher education fair, was attended by the International Exchange and Cooperation Office in September.

After the exhibition in Barcelona, attended by IECO coordinator Alisa USUBOVA and IECO specialist Sena DUMAN, information and thank you emails were sent to the institutions. As a result of the established contacts, the agreement process with the Transport and Telecommunications Institute in Latvia was completed, which includes the departments of Aviation Management, Electricity, Management Information Systems, Aircraft Engineering, and Aircraft Engine Maintenance. The institutions can exchange students and staff under the agreement. The Institute of Transport and Telecommunications is located in Riga, the capital of Latvia. The university is the largest in the capital city of Riga and is also a technical university. The foundation of the university dates back to 1919. In this respect, being an established institution is of great importance both for our students and for our university in the context of quality change. The educational quality of the university, which has 7 faculties, is professional and academically competent. As we currently have very few agreements in the field of aviation, the agreement with Latvia is of great importance to providing our students and staff with more alternatives in their choice of institutions in the context of their mobility. Europe's largest education fair, EAIE, continues to support Istanbul Gelisim University in achieving its internationalization goals. IECO will continue to increase its global effectiveness and provide added value to Istanbul Gelisim University through the projects it authors, the events it organizes, and the increasing ever-increasing number of collaborations.
