Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) and Kutaisi University Launch Online Education Programme for Health Students


In February 2024, Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) and Kutaisi University held talks to organize an online education program for health students. These discussions resulted in the implementation of the program, which took place between 10-14 June. The program focused on various topics led by distinguished faculty members of both universities.

Prof. Lali Chkhikvadze, Dr. Melania Godoladze, Prof. Iago Tsertsvadze, Dr. Marine Davituliani and Prof. Khatuna Chakvetadze from Kutaisi University led discussions on clinical trials, modern methods in clinical communication and understanding risk factors.


On the other hand, Istanbul Gelisim University, Lecturer Berk Efe Altınal, Lecturer Dr. Hina Zahoor, Dr Nasir Mustafa, Prof. Dr William Mosier and Assoc. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Sıla Ayan addressed topics such as biopsychosocial approach, emotional intelligence, neuroanatomy, PTSD and gerontological approaches.


In addition to providing students with new knowledge, this collaborative online education programme also contributed to the establishment of a stronger university cooperation between IGU and Kutaisi University. It demonstrated the commitment of both institutions to increase educational opportunities through innovative online platforms.
