University of Gambia and İstanbul Gelisim University Moves Toward the Collaboration


International Exchange and Cooperation Office and representatives of the University of Gambia in Gambia held an online meeting on 10 March 2023.


International Exchange and Cooperation Office and representatives of the University of Gambia in Gambia held an online meeting on 10 March 2023. İstanbul Gelisim University International Exchange And Cooperation Office and representatives of the University of Gambia met on 10 March 2023. Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Necmettin Maraşlı, IECO Coordinator Alisa Usubova, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Aeronautical Engineering Department Erasmus+ Coordinator Samuel Moveh, and University of Gambia representatives attended the online meeting. At the meeting,institutional and international collaborations and potential agreements were discussed. In addition to this, both İstanbul Gelisim University and University of Gambia mentioned their success and projects in the international arena. Gambia University is located in Serekunda, the largest city in Gambia. Although the university was opened in 1998, university started to receive student registrations in 1999. The university has 9 faculties,1 institute of graduate studies, and 2 campuses. The university has various faculties such as Law, Economics, Nursing, Medicine, and Engineering. Gambia University launched the master's program in Public Health in collaboration with the University of Illinois at Springfield and the University of Iowa in the United States of America in 2012. According to many international lists, the university is the best university in the Gambia. International Exchange and Cooperation Office will continue its meetings and visits to increase İstanbul Gelisim University's international recognition and cooperation. In this sense, each meeting is an important step.
