On April 2, 2024, an online meeting was held to negotiate bilateral agreements with Syiah Kuala University located in Indonesia and to discuss potential partnerships within the framework of the International Credit Mobility with the participation of ICEO Assistant Murat Emre Şensoy and ICEO Specialist Duygu Can.

Syiah Kuala University, a well-established university dating back to 1961, provides education to more than 32,000 students in 12 faculties and 141 programs with the vision of an innovative, independent and leading university. Syiah Kuala University, offering education at undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels in faculties such as the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Dentistry, and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, is one of the oldest and largest state universities in Indonesia. The online meeting, organized to facilitate mutual acquaintance between the two universities and discuss potential collaborations, started with a presentation by the Director of the International Office of Syiah Kuala University, Muzailin Affan, introducing their university. Following this presentation, ICEO Assistant Murat Emre Şensoy made a presentation introducing Istanbul Gelişim University. After the presentations of both universities were completed, it was decided to enter into agreements within the framework of academic, scientific, and cultural cooperation. Additionally, signals were given for the potential partnership of the two universities in the future KA-171 Project (International Credit Mobility).

While we are maintaining our partnerships with the well-regarded universities in Indonesia within the scope of bilateral cooperation and International Credit Mobility, one more prestigious university has been added. As the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, we are working tirelessly to increase the number of agreements day by day.
