New Collaborations Between Istanbul Gelişim University And The Transport And Telecommunication Institute


On March 18, 2024, the International Exchange and Cooperation Coordination Office hosted guests from the Transport and Telecommunication Institute in Latvia as part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility program. During the visit, Professor Dr. Emmanuel Merchan, Dean of Engineering and Architecture at the Transport and Telecommunication Institute, and Erasmus+ Coordinator Angelica engaged in various discussions at our university.


On March 18, 2024, the International Exchange and Cooperation Coordination Office hosted guests from the Transport and Telecommunication Institute in Latvia as part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility program. During the visit, Professor Dr. Emmanuel Merchan, Dean of Engineering and Architecture at the Transport and Telecommunication Institute, and Erasmus+ Coordinator Angelica engaged in various discussions at our university.
 
The visiting guests exchanged ideas with Prof. Dr. Necmettin Maraşlı, Vice Rector and Dean of the Engineering and Architecture Department at Istanbul Gelişim University, to establish positive cooperation agreements. As part of the visit, the laboratories in the engineering and architecture fields at our university were showcased to the guests through a special tour. During this interactive tour organized by IECO, Prof. Dr. Emmanuel Merchan was accompanied by IECO Assistant Experts Pınar Aleyna Doğan and Mehmet Emir Çetinberk. This interactive tour fostered mutual understanding and laid the groundwork for positive collaborations.Following these discussions, Alisa Usubova, Coordinator of International Exchange and Cooperation at Istanbul Gelişim University, facilitated further meetings. Topics discussed included expanding existing collaborations, potential future partnerships, and the establishment of dual degree programs.

As a result of these meetings, significant steps were taken towards developing new areas of cooperation and exchange programs between Istanbul Gelişim University and the Transport and Telecommunication Institute. Istanbul Gelişim University continues to enhance academic interaction on a global scale through international collaborations and exchange programs.
