General Banking and Money Information

§  The currency in Turkey is Turkish Lira (TL) and Kurus (Kr).

§  Tax (VAT) is included in the bills.

§  Payment by cheque is not common in Turkey

§  The most secure way to exchange foreign currency is at the exchange offices (döviz bürosu).

§  Banks are open from Monday to Friday (usually from 9 am to 5 pm). There is 2 ATMs in the Campus.
