2024 Project Year Erasmus+ Study Mobility Application Results

2024 Project Year Erasmus+ Study Mobility application results have been announced.

2024 Project Year (2024-1-TR01-KA131-HED-000195912) Erasmus+ Study Mobility application results have been announced.

Evaluation Method of The Applications

2024 Project Year Erasmus+ Study Mobility lists were created by ranking the students among themselves within each Faculty / School / Institute according to the Erasmus+ General Total Points calculated by taking 50% of the Foreign Language Grade and 50% of the Grade Point Average (GPA) of the students who applied for Erasmus+ Study Mobility (the current GPA of the students was taken into consideration until the application deadline). For the 2024 project year, the number of grant quotas allocated to us by the Turkish National Agency is 65 and varies from the estimated number of announced quotas.  Of the quota, 80% is allocated to faculties and 20% to institutes and schools. During the evaluation of the applications, to ensure fair, transparent and equal distribution, the total quota was determined by taking into account the number of programs of the faculty/institute/school, and the total quotas determined for the relevant units were distributed within the faculty/institute/school itself, taking into account the number of Turkish and English departments.

Evaluations were made by taking into account the selection criteria in the 2024 Contract Year National Agency Applied Guidebook. Click here to access the Selection Criteria.

Erasmus+ Total Score must be at least 60 points in order to be successful in the Erasmus+ Study Mobility. Students with an Erasmus+ Total Score below 60 are considered as failed.

Students who are on the Main List should follow the process below:
The students on the Main List are required to notify the International Exchange and Cooperation Office by e-mail (erasmus@gelisim.edu.tr) in a written form whether they will benefit from the program between 18.07.2024 and 24.07.2024.

In the case of those who waive their rights among the students on the Main List, they must fill out a Waiver Petition by 24.07.2024 and submit it to the International Exchange and Cooperation Office by hand or via e-mail (erasmus@gelisim.edu.tr). Click here for the Waiver Petition.

Students on the Main list who do not notify whether they will benefit from mobility until 24.07.2024 will be deemed to have waived their rights and -10 points will be deducted from the Erasmus+ total success grade in the next Erasmus+ Mobility applications unless they show a force majeure.

Attention: Students who are eligible for Study Mobility will be able to make mobility in the Spring semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year or in the Fall semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Students will be given time for the semester decisions.

Students who are on the Backup List:
Students who are on the backup list if they wish to, can participate in Erasmus+ Mobility without grant in accordance with the university quotas. Students who wish to participate in the mobility without grant are required to submit their without Grant Participation Petition via e-mail (erasmus@gelisim.edu.tr) to the International Exchange and Cooperation Office by 24.07.2024. Click here for the Petition without Grant Participation.

The petitions for without Grant participation of students who want to participate in without Grant mobility will be evaluated and they will be able to participate in the mobility if the universities have an available quota.

In the case of those who waive their rights among the students on the main list, the candidate from the backup list who is studying in the same Faculty / School / Institute and who has got the highest score could attend the mobility. If there is no student from the relevant faculty, a student will be selected in the backup list according to the highest score.

Even if the student on the Backup List starts his/her mobility without the grant, in the case of withdrawal from the student on the main list, the student without a grant could continue his/her mobility with the grant when they are next on the list.

Even if the student does not submit a without grant participation petition they will still be able to benefit from the mobility with a grant when it is their turn from the backup list.

Without grant participation petition is for those who want to participate in the mobility even if they are not in line for grant participation. If the applicant submits a grant application and declines to participate in the mobility without a compelling reason, -10 points will be deducted from the next Erasmus application.

University Placements to be Hosted
Students who are eligible for mobility cannot participate in the mobility if they do not have a course load of 30 ECTS (minimum 20 ECTS in force majeure cases such as being in the last grade). The institution cannot be held responsible if the applications of the candidates who will participate in the mobility are not accepted by the universities they have won, if their quotas are full or if the application dates have passed. In this case, the student will be asked to choose another university that we have an agreement with, otherwise the application will be canceled if no agreement is found or no choice is made.

Students don’t have the right to change the universities they have been placed in other than the case mentioned above and except in cases not caused by them. A change of university can only be made once with the approval of the Erasmus Department Coordinators in cases of course mismatch or in cases where the language of education is not English.

Students are responsible for checking their e-mails frequently, following all announcements published by the International Exchange and Cooperation Office and keeping in touch with the coordinatorship. Otherwise, the student is responsible for any problems that may occur (for example, not checking his/her e-mail and missing the application date, not reading the announcements and not being informed about any developments, etc.).

Orientation Program
An Orientation Program will be organized for students who are eligible for Erasmus Mobility. A detailed information about the mobility process will be given in the orientation program. It is compulsory for all students who are on the Main List and those who are on the Backup List that want to participate in the mobility without a grant to attend the Erasmus Orientation Program. Students who do not attend the program without a force majeure reason will be deducted -5 points from their next Erasmus application. Details about the Orientation Program will be shared with the students later.

Result Lists

Students who have objections to the application results can send their objection petitions via e-mail (erasmus@gelisim.edu.tr) until 17.07.2024 at 17.30.  Appeal petitions sent after the specified date will not be accepted and the petitions must be signed. Positive or negative feedback will be made after the petitions are evaluated.
