2021-2022 Academic Year Erasmus+ Study Mobility Application Results Have Been Announced.
Evaluation Method of Applications
The Lists were created according to the Erasmus+ Grand Total Scores calculated by taking 50% of the Foreign Language Score and 50% of the General Academic Grade Point Average (GANO) of the students who apply for the 2021-2022 Academic Year Erasmus+ Study Mobility and ranked among themselves within each Faculty/ School/ Institute.
Due to the fact that the project application made by our University for the 2021 Erasmus Project year has not been finalized yet, therefore the announced grant quotas are not finalized. For this reason, by considering the estimated quotas for Erasmus+ Study Mobility, Main and Backup student lists have been created. The quotas are equally distributed on the basis of faculties/schools/institutes, taking into account the number of faculty/school/institute students. In line with the grants to be allocated to our university, in case the quotas with grants are more or less than the estimated quotas, the main and backup lists will be reconstructed.
“The agreement for participation in the 2021-2027 new Erasmus+ program between Turkey and the European Union and the Delegation Agreement for 2021 has not been signed yet. Our institution and the Turkish National Agency cannot be held responsible for material or moral losses that may arise from delays or disruptions in the aforementioned treaty processes."
In order to be successful in Erasmus+ Study Mobility, the Erasmus+ Grand Total Score must be at least 60 points. Students with an Erasmus+ Grand Total Score below 60 are considered failed.
Students who are in the Main List should do the process below:
-
Students in the Main List must notify the Erasmus Office in writing by e-mail (erasmus@gelisim.edu.tr) whether they will benefit from the program or not until 16.07.2021. Students who will be on the main list and will benefit from the program should fill in a commitment letter and send it to us by e-mail, since the quota for grants has not been clarified yet. Click for the Commitment.
-
In case of releasing from the students who are in the Main List, they must fill in a Petition of Releasing and submit it to the Erasmus Office via e-mail (erasmus@gelisim.edu.tr) until 16.07.2021. Click for Petition…
-
Students who do not declare whether they will benefit from the mobility or not until 16.07.2021 will be deemed to have released their rights and if they do not show a force majeure, -10 points will be deducted from the Erasmus+ total grade in their next Erasmus+ Mobility applications.
Students who are entitled to participate in mobility for the Fall and Spring semesters, (ex. 2 semesters) to receive a grant for only 1 semester. As stated in the application guide, the students who are eligible to participate in the mobility in the fall semester will be transferred to the spring semester if their university nomination date has passed.
Attention: The earliest project starting date for the contract year 2021 is expected to be 01 September 2021. Therefore, in terms of grants to be allocated within the scope of the 2021 contract, it is not possible to determine any mobilities’ starting date for internship, study and staff mobility before this date.
Students who are in the Main List should do the process below:
-
Students on the backup list can participate in Erasmus+ Mobility without a grant, if they want, within the university quota. Students who want to participate in the mobility without a grant should send their Without Grant Participation Petitions to the Erasmus Office via e-mail (erasmus@gelisim.edu.tr) until 16.07.2021. Click here for the without Grant Participation Petition. Students who want to participate in the mobility without grant will be able to participate in the mobility if the universities have a quota by evaluating the application petitions for participation without grant.
-
In case of releasing from the students in the Main List, the candidate with the highest score in the backup list will be included in the candidate who is studying at the same Faculty/School/Institute with the candidate who gave up. If there is no student to leave the relevant faculty, the student will be selected according to the highest score in the backup list.
-
Even if the student in the Backup List starts the mobility without a grant, if the student who gives up in the Main List and the student who participates without a grant comes to the turn, the student will participate in the mobility with a grant.
University Placements to be Hosted:
-
The institution cannot be held responsible if the applications of the candidates who will participate in the mobility are not accepted by the universities they have right to go, if their quota is full or if the application deadlines have passed. In this case, the student is asked to choose another university with which we have an agreement. If no agreement is found or no selection is made, the application will be cancelled.
-
Students do not have the right to change the universities they are placed in, except for the cases mentioned above and not caused by them. University change can only be made with the approval of the Erasmus Department Coordinators if the courses do not match or the language of instruction is not in English.
-
Students are responsible for checking their e-mails frequently, following all announcements published by Erasmus Office, and keeping in touch with Erasmus Office. Otherwise, the student is responsible for any problems that may occur (for example, not checking his e-mail and missing the application date, not reading the announcements, and not being aware of any developments, etc.).
Orientation Program
An Online Orientation Program will be organized for students who are eligible for Erasmus Mobility. In the orientation program, detailed information about the mobility process will be given to the students. It is obligatory to attend the Erasmus Orientation Program for all students who are on the Main List and who are on the Backup List and want to participate in the mobility without the grant. -5 points will be deducted from the next Erasmus applications of students who do not participate in the program without showing any force majeure. Details about the Orientation Program will be shared with the students later.
Result Lists
Students who object to the results of their application can send their objection petitions via e-mail (erasmus@gelisim.edu.tr) until 16.07.2021 at 18.00. Objection petitions that were sent after the specified date will not be accepted. Petitions will be evaluated and positive or negative feedback will be given to the students.
