We Extended our Bilateral Agreement with International Balkan University

This week, Erasmus+ Office extended its bilateral agreement with International Balkan University.

Istanbul Gelisim University Erasmus+ Office is continuing to gain partners and agreements. We add a new field to our existing bilateral agreement with International Balkan University. Our new field is Turkish Literature. The bilateral agreement before the new one was covering Economics and Finance, Business Administration, Psychology, Political Science and Public Administration, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Banking and Insurance. With the addition of the Turkish Language and Literature to the existing bilateral agreement, the number increased to 9.
If we want to mention our well-regarded partner, International Balkan University, it is a private university that was founded in 2006 in Skopje North Macedonia. The university involves 8 faculties. These are the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Economics and Administrative, Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and last but not least Faculty of Art and Design. In the year of 2017, the university was selected as the best university in Macedonia by Shanghai University Ranking. The city of Skopje was annexed by Ottoman Empire in the year 1392 and stayed under Ottoman Empire dominance for 500 years. For this reason, there are many historical artifacts in the city. Skopje is a vivid and alive city thanks to the theatre, opera, cinema, culture centers, sports facilities, improved structure of cafes and restaurants, picnic areas, canyon and with winter tourism.
Skopje and International Balkan University is a candidate for an unforgettable experience for both our staff and students.
It is expected that this new agreement with International Balkan University will contribute to both institutions by creating more opportunities in order to improve the existing bilateral relations between institutions and to provide collaboration between universities in more fields.
